I am an avid collector and enthusiast from Dallas, Tx. After years of paying retail prices on brand new pieces, I began to explore the pre-owned market. I started to notice a trend. People were showing interest in gently used timepieces but there was an underlying fear of buying outside a brick and mortar authorized dealer. With the replica market growing at a rapid pace and the quality of fakes getting better, it’s becoming harder and harder for the average person to distinguish whether a timepiece is truly authentic.
I started The Timepiece Gentleman because I noticed as my collection grew, friends and family members were showing interest in the luxury watch market but were unaware that their next timepiece was more obtainable than they realized. Even in the pre-owned market, a luxury watch is no small investment. However, my goal is to provide exceptional pieces at values that minimize depreciation losses. I hope to minimize them by providing exceptional details about the timepiece you’re considering, offering honest pricing, showing comparable pieces being offered elsewhere and information that separates my listing from the competition, and providing a smooth transaction from start to finish.

I'm Marco and I have been studying Rolex as far back as I can remember. I used to beg my mom to take me to the mall just so I could walk thru the jewelry stores and stare in the cases until the employees begged me to leave. I studied forums, read articles, watched what few online videos were available and compared pics from the AD websites. I was a connoisseur of vintage Rolex far before I could even afford one. I remember working as a Valet for almost 18 months saving to get my first piece, which was an 80's model Sub. I've owned many great pieces including a 6263, Double Red Seadweller, Zenith Daytona, & a 1675 Gilt Dial. My passion for horology has led me here.
How We Became Partners
We met in an online dealer wholesale group and I (Anthony) agreed to buy a watch from Marco. Upon asking for an address of where to send a shipping label, we realized there was only a few miles difference in where we lived. We met at the little Starbucks on Forest Lane across from Medical City Hospital and completed the deal. It was simple. Over in minutes.
About a week later, we had another deal come up and I was buying another timepiece from him. We met again and the deal was easy. This time, however, we got to talking and realized that each others strengths were the others weakness. Marco was extremely knowledgeable in all things Rolex and the watch market in general. My knowledge of Rolex was very limited as I was just beginning to learn the business side of the brand. I was well-versed in social media and online advertising. Marco never had the need to develop a large social media following considering he focused on dealer-to-dealer transactions. After going over how we each bought and sold inventory, we realized that Marco was excellent at buying on the wholesale side and I could move inventory and collect leads thru online platforms.
We teamed up and created the working business model you see today. He manages the buying and authenticating of timepieces and I sit on the phone and computer all day creating engaging content that draws clients like yourself to explore new avenues to buying and selling luxury watches.
